Refund, Return & Warranty Policy

Every Game Cosmos controller is built-to-order and handcrafted just for you. Please read this policy carefully — by completing your purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to it.

Custom-Built Product Notice

Every Game Cosmos controller is built-to-order and handcrafted using genuine OEM controllers and premium aftermarket components. Due to the custom nature of our products, all sales are considered final once an order is placed.

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that your controller is being custom-built specifically for you and may not be resold as new if returned.

By placing an order, the customer acknowledges that Game Cosmos products are custom-built, made-to-order goods that begin production immediately after purchase and are therefore exempt from standard return rights applicable to mass-produced retail products where permitted by law.

Refunds & Returns

All Sales Are Final

Game Cosmos does not accept returns or provide refunds for:

  • Buyer’s remorse
  • Change of mind
  • Personal preference
  • Competitive performance expectations
  • Disliking the controller’s feel, weight, button layout, or appearance
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Used controllers
  • Controllers showing signs of dirt, contamination, abuse, neglect, or misuse

Because all controllers are custom-built and immediately enter production after purchase, orders cannot be canceled once payment has been submitted.

Order Cancellations

Production begins immediately upon receipt of payment.

As a result:

  • Orders cannot be canceled after payment is submitted.
  • Orders cannot be modified once production begins.
  • Requests to cancel custom orders after payment will not be approved.

In rare and exceptional circumstances, Game Cosmos may approve a cancellation at its sole discretion. Any approved cancellation may be subject to administrative fees, labor charges, parts costs, payment processing fees, and other expenses incurred during production.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds will only be considered under the following circumstances:

  • The wrong product was shipped.
  • The product arrives dead on arrival (DOA).
  • A manufacturing defect exists that cannot be repaired or replaced.
  • Game Cosmos determines that repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.

Game Cosmos reserves the right to repair or replace a product before issuing any refund.

Refunds are issued solely at the discretion of Game Cosmos and only after inspection and verification of the reported issue.

Approved Return Inspection & Restoration Fee

In the rare event that Game Cosmos approves a return, cancellation, or refund request outside of our standard policy, the returned item will be subject to inspection upon arrival.

Because Game Cosmos products are custom-built and often show signs of use immediately after opening, all approved returns may be subject to a twenty-five percent (25%) Inspection, Restocking, and Restoration Fee.

This fee helps offset:

  • Product inspection and diagnostic testing
  • Cleaning and sanitation
  • Refurbishment and restoration
  • Replacement packaging materials
  • Administrative processing
  • Loss of product value due to use or handling

Additional deductions may apply if the product is returned with missing accessories, excessive wear, damage, contamination, or modifications not performed by Game Cosmos.

Game Cosmos reserves the right to determine the condition of all returned products and the amount of any applicable deductions.

Warranty Coverage

Controller & Joy-Con Warranty

Game Cosmos controllers and Joy-Cons include a sixty (60) day limited warranty covering manufacturing defects.

Switch Lite Warranty

Game Cosmos Switch Lite products include a ninety (90) day limited warranty covering manufacturing defects.

Hall Effect Thumbstick Warranty

Controllers equipped with Hall Effect thumbsticks include a ninety (90) day warranty against stick drift caused by manufacturing defects.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage
  • Abuse
  • Drops
  • Liquid damage
  • Unauthorized repairs
  • Customer modifications
  • Excessive force
  • Negligence
  • Improper use

What Is Covered

The Game Cosmos warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Defective workmanship
  • Defective components
  • Stick drift caused by manufacturing defects
  • Shipping damage reported within the required timeframe
  • Button failures caused by defective components
  • Trigger failures caused by defective components

Most qualifying warranty claims will be resolved through repair or replacement at Game Cosmos’s discretion.

What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage
  • Cosmetic wear
  • Scratches
  • Cracked shells
  • Water or liquid damage
  • Pet damage
  • Electrical damage
  • Improper storage
  • Excessive dirt or contamination
  • Customer negligence
  • Customer modifications
  • Third-party repairs
  • Competitive gaming wear and tear
  • Damage resulting from misuse or abuse
  • Damage caused during transportation by the customer
  • Damage resulting from disassembly or attempted repairs

Repair Services

Even when damage is not covered under warranty, Game Cosmos may offer repair services for a reasonable repair fee.

Repair fees are determined based on:

  • Parts required
  • Labor involved
  • Shipping costs
  • Diagnostic findings

Customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with warranty claims, repairs, replacements, and non-warranty repairs unless otherwise stated by Game Cosmos.

Shipping Damage, Missing Items & Delivery Issues

Any shipping damage, missing items, or delivery-related issues must be reported within seven (7) calendar days of confirmed delivery.

Claims submitted after seven (7) days may be denied.

Customers must provide:

  • Order number
  • Photographs of the product
  • Photographs of the shipping box and packaging
  • Video evidence when requested
  • Any additional information requested by Game Cosmos

Failure to provide sufficient documentation may result in denial of the claim.

Return Authorization

No product may be returned without prior written authorization from Game Cosmos.

Unauthorized returns may be refused and returned to the sender at the sender’s expense.

Any package returned without authorization may be rejected, discarded, or returned without refund.

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Game Cosmos maintains detailed production records, testing logs, shipping records, photographs, quality control documentation, and order history for all custom-built products.

Customers agree to contact Game Cosmos before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

Fraudulent chargebacks and disputes involving completed custom orders will be contested using available production records, testing documentation, shipping confirmations, communications, photographs, and other supporting evidence.

Customers who initiate abusive, fraudulent, or bad-faith chargebacks may be permanently prohibited from future purchases.

Limitation of Liability

Game Cosmos shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the purchase, use, misuse, inability to use, or performance of any Game Cosmos product.

The maximum liability of Game Cosmos shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the product.
