Sticks wear out
Standard thumbsticks read your input through physical contacts that gradually wear. That wear is what becomes drift. Magnetic sticks have nothing in contact to wear down.
Controller Upgrades
The shell is what people notice. The parts underneath it are what you feel. Every GameCosmos build starts on genuine OEM hardware, then takes the upgrades you actually use: anti-drift sticks, faster triggers, paddles under your fingers.

Why upgrade
None of these are faults you notice on day one. They are the ones that show up two hundred hours in, and they are all fixable at the point the controller is built.
Standard thumbsticks read your input through physical contacts that gradually wear. That wear is what becomes drift. Magnetic sticks have nothing in contact to wear down.
A stock trigger pulls through its whole arc before it registers. Trigger stops cut that travel down to a click, so the shot lands when you decide it should.
Jump, slide and heal all sit under the thumb that is also aiming. Paddles move those inputs to your middle fingers, so aim survives the input.
Sticks · the flagship upgrade
Magnetic sticks with no contact to wear out, however many hours you put in.
Hall Effect thumbsticks read position with magnetic sensors instead of physical contacts. Nothing rubs, so nothing wears, which removes the wear that turns into drift. If you have had drift on a controller before, this is the single most useful upgrade to add.

Switch 2 Joy-Cons and our other builds can have them added as an option. Switch 2 Pro Controllers cannot yet, so check the individual product page before ordering. More in the FAQ.
The rest of the bench

Triggers
Mouse-style trigger stops that cut the travel to a hair, so shots fire the instant you press.
A stock trigger has to travel most of its arc before the shot registers. These swap that long pull for a switch that fires almost immediately, the same way a mouse button does. On the shooters where the first shot decides the fight, that shortened travel is the whole upgrade.

Paddles
Extra paddles you can map to jump, slide or heal without lifting your thumbs off the sticks.
Every time you reach for a face button you stop aiming. Back paddles sit under your middle fingers and take those inputs instead, so the thumbs never leave the sticks. It is the upgrade that changes how you play rather than how the controller feels.

Buttons
Weighted metal face buttons and D-pad for a firmer, more tactile press under your thumb.
The stock D-pad is light plastic over a rubber dome. Swapping in a machined metal cross and its supporting plate gives every direction a defined edge and a firmer return, which matters most in fighting games and anywhere you are rolling inputs rather than tapping them.

Grip
Textured grips for total control.
Concave caps with a dense textured face, seated on the stick you already have. They give the thumb something to hold on to through long sessions, which is when a smooth factory cap starts to slip. Selected builds also offer adjustable-height sticks.
Together
You do not have to take all of them. Most people start with the sticks, add paddles when they want their thumbs back, and stop there. The options that appear depend on the platform and the build you choose.
How it works
There is no mail-in step. You pick the build and the upgrades together, and the controller is assembled that way from the start.
Start from a controller, Joy-Con pair, Pro Controller or Switch Lite in the shop. The design is already finished; you are choosing the hardware underneath it.
Upgrade options appear on the product page itself. What is available depends on the platform and the build, so the options you see are the ones that fit that controller.
Nothing is pulled off a shelf. Each controller is assembled to order on genuine OEM hardware, with the upgrades fitted during the build rather than bolted on afterwards.
Every build is quality-checked by hand before it leaves, then shipped worldwide with tracking. Controllers and Joy-Cons carry a sixty day limited warranty; Switch Lite builds carry ninety.
Before you choose
The things people ask while picking parts. For warranty, delivery and returns in full, see the main FAQ.
No. Every GameCosmos controller is built to order rather than modified after the fact, so the upgrades are fitted during the build. You choose the design and the upgrades together at checkout, and the finished controller ships to you.
It depends on the build. Upgrade options appear on each product page, so the ones you see listed there are the ones that fit that particular controller and platform. Not every upgrade is available on every model.
During the build. They are installed as part of assembly rather than retrofitted afterwards. Newer Switch Lite builds ship with them already fitted. Switch 2 Joy-Cons and our other products can have them added as an option, the exception being Switch 2 Pro Controllers, which we cannot fit them to yet.
No. Every build starts from a genuine OEM controller and the internals stay stock, so pairing, buttons, motion and wireless behave exactly as the original hardware does. What changes is the exterior and the upgrades you choose.
Yes. Controllers and Joy-Cons carry a sixty day limited warranty covering manufacturing defects, and Switch Lite products carry ninety days. That covers the build as it ships to you, upgrades included.
Pick a design you actually want to hold, then choose the parts underneath it. Every build is made to order on genuine hardware and quality-checked by hand before it ships.
